ACADEMIC ADVISORY COUNCIL (AAC)
The AAC of Institute comprises some of the renowned academicians, industrialists, and management consultants. The motive of the AAC was to provide key importance strategic internal and external inputs on academics issues of the Institute, the Council discussed faculty, students recruitment strategies, Industry integration with academics, delivery pattern of the academic concepts & establishing feedback mechanisms for the Institute, development of an academic masterplan, and nurturing young faculty at the Institute to ensure their fullest professional and personal growth.
COURSE CURRICULUM
Our endeavor is to provide comprehensive curriculum to make it applied & realistic. Syllabus is revised & updated regularly keeping in view the corporate requirements and aspirations. The content of the curriculum is such that there is a proper blend between the conceptual rationality that is taught in the classroom and the ground reality, which a student has to actually face.
IMAGE DEVELOPMENT
Image Development quintessentially means enhancing and grooming one’s outer and inner self to bring about a positive change to your life. Each individual has a distinct persona that can be developed, polished and refined. This process includes boosting one’s confidence, improving communication and language speaking abilities, widening ones scope of knowledge, developing certain hobbies or skills, learning fine etiquettes and manners, adding style and grace to the way one looks, talks and walks and overall imbibing oneself with positivity, liveliness and peace.
CSR FOR STUDENT COMMUNITY
The student community is sensitized to the fact that social responsibility does not end with merely giving charity or working for an NGO, but to become socially responsible and sensitive to the needs and expectations of society and accomplish one’s job sincerely and ethically. Students of EBS participate in Social Awareness Campaigns and work for NGOs during the Management education program.
CORPORATE CONNECT
The students gain first-hand information regarding functioning of the Industry, which presents students with opportunities to plan, organize and engage in active learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
- Guest lectures Eminent professionals from the industry share their experiences and enable the aspiring students to broaden their vision.
- Industrial Visit & Internship Program Students all have their educational experience in common. What stand out to employers is those students who ALSO have work experiences by the time they graduate. This automatically makes them more marketable; as they may require less training and are assumed to be able to handle more responsibilities. In addition to the specialized skills of your field, transferable skills are generally required at any job, e.g. communication/interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, and team work.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
EBS Career Services prepares students for their next career moves. Services to students include career planning and development, and exposure to career opportunities. Workshops prepare students for job interviews, assist them to prepare CVs and show them how to network effectively, among other things. Companies do regular on-campus presentations and students have access to career-related resources.
TEACHING PEDAGOGY
EBS believes in developing individuals with strong fundamental and conceptual skills and capability, combined with a deep sense of responsibility towards the society and groomed leaders with the help of
- Classroom instruction Our full-time and Visiting Faculty facilitate close interaction and discussions in the classroom. Presence of the Faculty combined with audio and visual teaching methods make the classroom a lively theater for learning.
- Case method is extensively used for the student to experience the simulated environment of the corporate world and for developing decision making skills. The cases are carefully selected to be contemporaneous and illustrating the use of relevant principles and tools in a complex setting.
- Group Discussions and Presentations This serves dual purpose of acquiring knowledge and enhancing presentation and communication skills of the students.
- Live Projects and Operation workouts At EBS, we strongly emphasize practical learning through live projects which make the students “corporate-ready “.
- Teaching language (English) English language learning (ESL) and Periodic presentations, quizzes by individuals and groups are conducted. This also helps in enhancing communication skills.
- Off-campus workshops, Seminars EBS holds off campus workshops and seminars on current topics on a regular basis. There is a strong belief in ‘learning by doing’. This model places the students in the center of teaching and learning and enables them to respond to the demands of the Industry.
- Evaluation System The Institute believes in continuous evaluation of every student, as a measure of performance and also as a means for motivation. Evaluation is done through assignments, case studies, periodic quizzes, projects, and semester-wise examinations.
